The Oregon State Bar Consumer Law Section promotes competence and professionalism of Oregon attorneys practicing consumer law. The Section also encourages consumer protection and advocacy in Oregon and maintains this website as a public service for both attorneys and consumers.
Message from Prof. Richard Slottee, Founding Chair
Consumer Law has developed into a unique area of legal endeavor and inquiry, encompassing issues and concepts which are distinct from those in bankruptcy and debtor/creditor relations. A significant number of attorneys now represent clients with consumer law issues. The goals of the Consumer Law Section are to provide a forum for the exchange of information regarding consumer law; to increase the public’s awareness of consumer rights; to promote competence and professionalism among lawyers by offering educational opportunities; and to assist the Bar in law improvement activities by reviewing and commenting on consumer legislation and issues.
OSB Consumer Law Section Annual Meeting
The annual meeting for the Consumer Law Section is on Wednesday October 19, 2011 at noon at the Lewis & Clark Legal Clinic, 310 SW 4th Avenue, Suite 1018, Portland, Oregon, 97204.
Elections will be held during this annual meeting.

Monthly Executive Committee Meetings
The Executive Committee meets on the third Wednesday of every month at the Lewis & Clark Legal Clinic, 310 SW 4th Ave., Suite 1018, Portland, at 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Any members of the Section are welcome to attend.
